Avallain Author’s unique MosAIc tool unleashes the power of your PDF and InDesign-based content. Import your PDF and then let Mosaic do the rest, extracting text and images so that you can compile them into interactive exercises, cutting 30% of time from the task.
MosAIc will even spot activities on the page and automatically select the activity type and generate the interactive activities in standard Avallain Author format.
Pronunciation practice
Avallain Author’s ‘Pronunciation’ activity type now features an integration with Speechace, an AI-based speech analysis tool enabling you to provide students with detailed feedback at a syllable and phoneme level as well as an optional overall score.
Accessibility support
With the enforcement of the European Accessibility Act in 2025, accessibility standards will soon be underpinned in law. These standards require that media files offer appropriate support for users with disabilities.
Avallain Author provides a range of AI-powered tools to enable you to support these requirements, such as automatic alt-text generation for images and automated transcripts and subtitles for videos.

Testing identifies and mitigates risks, helping us to develop features to their fullest potential and implement them in an ethical and safe manner. Avallain has acquired the proven AI tool TeacherMatic, which saves teachers hours a week with easy-to-use tools to generate a vast range of material including lesson plans, worksheets and quizzes. We are working non-stop to deliver TeacherMatic alongside all of the power and control offered by Avallain Author and Avallain Magnet.
Avallain Lab
We established the Avallain Lab in 2023 to be an ethically and pedagogically sound academic resource, providing support to Avallain product designers and partners, as well as the wider e-learning community.
Supervised by Professor John Traxler and benefitting from an advisory panel including Professor Rose Luckin, the Lab enables us to deliver research-informed technology and experiences for learners and teachers, including in the field of AI. Much more to come!
